COMING ANNOUNCEMENT! 2nd Annual WildmanPete.com Golf Tourney!
Ashburn, VA – WildmanPete today announced the renewal of its sponsorship agreement with the legendary golf team Jabba the Putt for the 2026 Madison Small Memorial Golf Tournament.
The announcement follows WildmanPete's successful sponsorship of Jabba the Putt during its run to the 2026 X-Golf National Championship and reflects the company's continued commitment to supporting golfers whose confidence consistently exceeds their handicaps.
The 2026 Jabba the Putt roster features returning team members Paul Hegedus, Joe Reategui, and Ji Chung, along with the team's newest addition, Brian Flowers.
While the 70’s/80’s, PEACE, LOVE and GOLF themed tournament promises plenty of disco, laughs, and friendly competition, WildmanPete also recognizes the event's deeper purpose—bringing people together to celebrate the life and memory of Madison Small. The company is proud to support an event that reminds us golf is often at its best when it honors friendships, family, and those who leave a lasting impact on the people around them.
"Our sponsorship committee reviewed dozens of applications," said WildmanPete founder Pete Hegedus. "In the end, Jabba the Putt separated itself through elite teamwork, exceptional character, and the rare ability to convince one another that every bad shot was 'the right club.'"
Although financial terms remain confidential, sources familiar with the negotiations indicate the agreement includes official WildmanPete apparel, unlimited moral support, emergency mulligan counseling, and the right to blame at least one missed putt on 'a spike mark.'
WildmanPete's Analytics Department released its official tournament projections:
· Chances of someone yelling 'Get in the hole!' on the first green: 97%
· Chances someone says 'I never do that' immediately after hitting into the woods: 100%
· Chances the shirts become more famous than the team: Extremely High
· Chances someone claims 'We left five shots out there today' during the drive
home: Guaranteed
Meanwhile, WildmanPete's Legal Department issued a brief statement reminding everyone that any resemblance between scramble scorecards and works of historical fiction is purely coincidental.
Company officials noted that the Madison Small Memorial represents everything the WildmanPete brand hopes to celebrate—competition with friends, plenty of laughter, unforgettable moments, and taking time to remember someone whose legacy continues to bring people together through the game of golf.
Team Captain Paul Hegedus kept the tournament in perspective: "Winning is always fun, but if we laugh all day, make a few birdies, wear outrageous shirts, and leave with stories we'll still be telling next year, that's a championship in our book."

ABOUT MADISON SMALL:
The Madison Small Foundation was created as a nonprofit organization to help the local community, local efforts, and causes in memory of Madison Small, who is remembered for her kindness, leadership, caring nature, friendships, and outgoing personality. Madison was only 18 years old, loving her senior year at Broad Run High School and preparing to go to Virginia Tech in the Fall when she suddenly died from meningitis in April of 2015. She was a leader in school, on the softball field, and among her friends. She was a National Honor Society member, captain, and 4-year starter for the Broad Run softball team, active in clubs and causes through Broad Run, and well-loved throughout school and the community.

ST. JOHNS, FL – June 27, 2026 — Fresh off its wildly successful sponsorship of the nationally recognized Jabba the Putt X-Golf Championship team (where they won the XGolf National Championship and $10,000!), WildmanPete today announced another strategic investment in elite athletic competition by signing The Estates Team for the prestigious Rivertown Iron Classic, taking place today.
While financial terms of the sponsorship were not disclosed, industry insiders report the agreement includes premium WildmanPete headwear, questionable motivational speeches, performance expectations described as 'aggressively optimistic,' and unlimited exposure on WildmanPete.com.
We were granted exclusive access to the board room of WildmanPete Headquarters in St. Johns, FL where the photo attached captured the exact moment The Estates Team was formed, and agreement was reached on the MOU for the WildmanPete.com sponsorship agreement. We couldn't have done this without the guidance, leadership and support of board members Rusty, Dave and Ray.
The Estates Team roster features Billy Lombardo, Brad VanGelder, Chris Lopez (circled in photo) and Pete Hegedus. Together, the foursome hopes to combine decades of golfing experience, selective memory, and occasional moments of brilliance into one respectable scramble score.
"After the overwhelming success of Jabba the Putt, we were inundated with sponsorship requests from elite athletes across the country," said Pete Hegedus, Founder and CEO of WildmanPete. "The Estates Team distinguished itself through a rigorous selection process involving neighborhood proximity, text message responsiveness, and the ability to laugh at bad golf shots."
As part of the sponsorship agreement, players have committed to wearing official WildmanPete hats for all photographs, interviews, trophy presentations and exaggerated storytelling; mentioning WildmanPete whenever accepting compliments that probably belonged to someone else; avoiding public criticism of the sponsor regardless of putting performance; and directing curious fans to WildmanPete.com for future sponsorship opportunities, completely unnecessary merchandise, and stories that prove golf is far more entertaining than scorecards suggest.
"Our analytics department predicts we'll finish somewhere between first place and 'at least we had fun,'" said Hegedus. "Our legal department has advised us not to guarantee victory, but they have approved predicting at least one lost golf ball, two miraculous putts, and four golfers claiming they 'left a few shots out there.'"
Independent analysts also project The Estates Team will lead the tournament in laughter, excuses, unsolicited swing advice, and post-round stories that improve by roughly 12% every time they are told.
Regardless of where The Estates Team finishes, WildmanPete remains committed to supporting local athletes who understand that golf is less about perfection and more about friendship, unforgettable memories, and occasionally finding someone else's ball in the fairway.

XGolf Headquarters – Loveland, Colorado | June 19, 2026
The Force was definitely with them!
Team Jabba the Putt — Paul Hegedus, Joe Reategui, and Ji Chung — are officially the 2026 XGolf National Champions, capping off a thrilling tournament run with back-to-back playoff victories. After surviving a dramatic semifinal playoff yesterday, the team delivered another clutch performance today, winning the championship in yet another playoff after 18 holes of intense competition.
The XGolf staff quickly gave them a fitting nickname: "The Cardiac Kids." And for good reason. Their championship journey was filled with heart-stopping moments, pressure-packed shots, and incredible composure when it mattered most.
Their reward? A $10,000 championship check, national bragging rights, and individual championship trophies that will be making the trip back home to Northern Virginia.
This talented trio also holds a special distinction: they were the first team ever sponsored by WildmanPete.com — and they certainly made that decision look like a good one.
WildmanPete shared his excitement following the victory:
"I'm incredibly proud of these guys and everything they've accomplished. Throughout the tournament they stayed calm, focused, and level-headed, even while competing on the biggest stage XGolf has to offer. From media interviews and photos to proudly handing out WildmanPete merchandise, they represented themselves and our brand with class and professionalism every step of the way. They are outstanding ambassadors, and I couldn't be happier for them."
The championship celebration is just getting started. The newly crowned national champions will spend the next few days enjoying Denver and celebrating with fellow Denver based WildmanPete team members who showed up in force to support them during their unforgettable semifinal and championship victories.
From underdogs to champions. From playoff survivors to title winners. Jabba the Putt didn't just win the tournament—they put on a show.
Congratulations to the 2026 XGolf National Champions: Jabba the Putt! 🎉🍾🏌️♂️
