WildmanPete is proud to announce its first official athletic sponsorship: Team Jabba The Putt.

What began as three determined young men from Northern Virginia joining an X-Golf league quickly evolved into a championship run worthy of national attention. Team members Paul Hegedus, Joe Reategui, and Ji Chung not only captured their local league title but went on to win their regional competition, earning an automatic berth in the National Championship.

Their regional victory secured an expenses-paid trip to Denver, Colorado, where they will compete against the nation’s best for championship honors.

Facing long odds, fierce competition, and the occasional three-putt, these athletes demonstrated perseverance, teamwork, and a commitment to excellence that caught the attention of WildmanPete leadership.

WildmanPete has proudly followed and supported these young men from the beginning and is excited to officially invest in their future. Team Jabba The Putt will be outfitted in officially licensed WildmanPete apparel and accessories as they represent the brand on golf’s national stage.

WildmanPete executives confirmed that members of the company’s Denver-based Marketing and Athlete Relations Division are expected to attend the National Championship. The department, established during the Strategic Holiday Summit of 2025, will provide on-site support, brand promotion, morale-building services, and occasional unsolicited golf advice throughout the event.

The National Championship will also provide an opportunity for WildmanPete representatives to meet with fans, supporters, and members of the golfing community as the company continues to expand its involvement in sports-related initiatives.

“When we first identified Team Jabba The Putt as a potential sponsorship opportunity, we saw three young men with grit, determination, and a complete lack of fear when facing a difficult putt,” said WildmanPete Founder Pete Hegedus. “We are excited to support them as they represent Northern Virginia and the WildmanPete brand on the national stage. Our Denver-based staff is already preparing for the event and stands ready to assist in any way possible.”

These competitors will become the first WildmanPete-sponsored athletes to represent the brand at the national level and potentially beyond. The company could not be more pleased to be associated with such an accomplished and promising group of competitors.
